Fannish gushing

myeerahI have two game-related accomplishments today, which I feel cancel each other out.
I, special girl that I am, have been sick all week, been horribly unproductive in regards to meeting various fic challenges I've signed up for, and generally been miserable, so I turned to playing games.
I'm right at the end of Nocturne, lined up for the True Demon ending, having used my time of being violently ill for making my way through the Tower of Kagutsuchi 3. I finally leveled up to 95, made Metatron, and hied me to the Fifth Kalpa to buy that damn demon with Pierce. Seeing as I had about 20,000 Macca at the time, I ran around the shady broker for about three hours, killing things, leveling, and making money. Having bought the elephant, I proceeded to poke around to see what other things I could discover in the area, and found the burial chamber. Level 99 goon that I am at this point, armed with Metatron, Shiva, and Trumpeter, I pick a fight. Fuck me if I didn't lose and waste the last several hours of tedious grinding. Dammit, I hate being stupid.
My PSOne stopped working when we got the new HDTV, which made me terribly sad, as Vagrant Story doesn't work on my PS2 for some reason or other. Well, as my husband was doing his mysterious thing where he watched a show on TV, listens to music on his iPod, and plays on his laptop at the same time, so I took screwdriver in hand and wandered upstairs to do battle. After a couple of false starts (the last screw is under the warranty sticker, FYI) I took the sucker apart and found some random debris floating around inside the thing. Upon reassembly, following a minor mishap where the power cord came unplugged without my knowledge, IT WAS ALIIIIIIIVE!! I can roam Lea Monde again with impunity! Does it get better than this? (Probably, but don't burst my bubble.)
So, the day's ended on a pretty positive note, and I'm actually feeling almost better. Hopefully, I can go back to work tomorrow.
